Before we listen to the Sermon on the Mount, we need to see the King who speaks it. In Matthew 4:23–5:2, Jesus announces the kingdom, heals the broken, gathers the crowds, and teaches His disciples what life under His reign looks like.

Nehemiah 5 reminds us that God is not only concerned with whether the work gets done. He’s concerned with what kind of people are doing the work. When injustice rises inside the community, faithful leadership listens, confronts, restores, and serves under the fear of God.
