About Pastor Luke
Luke Wagner is a pastor, author, graduate student, husband, and dad whose writing is rooted in a desire to help people think deeply about Scripture and live faithfully in the middle of real life.
Writing began for Luke long before Eternal Viewpoint. During his college years, journaling became a regular spiritual discipline as he learned to put his thoughts, questions, fears, and prayers on paper before God. Over time, that private practice developed into public writing as he began using a blog to work through biblical and theological ideas. What began as a place to process what he was learning has grown into a ministry of its own.
Luke holds a Bachelor of Science in Religion with a specialization in Biblical and Theological Studies from Liberty University. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in School Counseling at Emporia State University. His graduate studies build on years of working with children and families and continue to deepen his understanding of mental health, human development, relationships, and the importance of compassionate, well-informed care.
Luke serves as a pastor with Anchor Church and as the Location Pastor for Anchor Church in Perry, Kansas. His heart for ministry is centered on helping people find and follow Jesus, grow deeper in their faith, and learn to live out the truth of Scripture in everyday life. His professional experience has also included serving as a Mental Health Liaison in his local public school district, and he currently works in child welfare as a Child Protection Specialist.
He is also the author of Formed by Truth: A Pastoral Guide to 1 Timothy for Everyday Faithfulness and Raising Forever: 30 Days of Faith-Filled Parenting. Whether writing about biblical theology, leadership, parenting, mental health, or the challenges of following Jesus, Luke seeks to approach Scripture carefully while connecting its truth to the realities people actually face.
Luke is married to his wife, Holly, and together they are raising three children. When he isn’t studying, writing, working, or serving at church, he enjoys spending time with his family, working in the yard, and occasionally living out an alternate career as a farmer in Farming Simulator or a pilot in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Life stays full, but Luke continues to believe there is tremendous value in slowing down long enough to dig deeper into God’s Word. Eternal Viewpoint exists as an extension of that conviction. His hope is that what you find here doesn’t simply give you something to read, but encourages you to know Jesus more deeply, think more carefully about your faith, and live with eternity in view.
