Nehemiah 5 reminds us that God is not only concerned with whether the work gets done. He’s concerned with what kind of people are doing the work. When injustice rises inside the community, faithful leadership listens, confronts, restores, and serves under the fear of God.
There have been seasons when I wore exhaustion like a badge of honor. But Scripture tells a better story. In Genesis 2, God blesses the seventh day and makes it holy. In Mark 6, Jesus calls His disciples to come away and rest. Rest is not weakness, laziness, or selfishness. It is sacred.
Before you build publicly, learn to listen privately. Nehemiah shows how godly vision begins with quiet discernment before bold declaration.
In a world addicted to noise, Jesus invites us to rediscover the secret place—where prayer, Scripture, and silence reorient our hearts toward His presence.
